Frequently Asked Questions

By splitting the trek over Shira Plateau into two short days (Shira 1 and Shira 2), your body gets extra time to adapt to heights under 4,000m before the high-altitude push.

Signal is weak and intermittent. Some spots on Shira Plateau and Barafu base camp have basic 2G/3G connectivity, but you should expect to be offline.

We use professional, double-walled geodesic tents (e.g. The North Face or Mountain Hardwear) designed to withstand high winds and sub-zero temperatures.
