Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 0: Arrival – Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and transferred to Arusha town. Distance: ~50 km. Driving Time: ~1 hour. Enjoy a smooth transfer through the scenic foothills of Mount Meru. After check-in at Venus Premier Hotel, relax after your journey. Depending on arrival time, you may explore Arusha town or simply unwind at the hotel. Overnight: Venus Premier Hotel (Bed & Breakfast)

Day 1: Arusha National Park – Game Drive & Walking Safari

After breakfast, depart for Arusha National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic and diverse parks. Distance (Arusha to Park): ~35 km. Driving Time: ~45 minutes. Activities include: Game drive through forest, lakes, and open savannah; Optional walking safari with an armed ranger; Optional canoeing on Momella Lakes. Wildlife highlights: Giraffes, buffalo, zebras, warthogs; Black-and-white colobus monkeys; Flamingos and other birdlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing with an afternoon game drive. Return Distance: ~35 km. Driving Time: ~45 minutes. Overnight: Venus Premier Hotel (Bed & Breakfast)

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its elephants and baobab trees. Distance: ~120 km. Driving Time: 2–2.5 hours. Enjoy a full-day game drive with picnic lunch. Highlights: Large elephant herds; Tarangire River (lifeline for wildlife); Lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest. In the late afternoon, drive to Karatu town. Distance (Tarangire to Karatu): ~80 km. Day 4: Full Day Serengeti National Park

Day 5: Second Full Day Serengeti (Extended Exploration)

Options include: Visiting remote wildlife-rich areas; Tracking migration herds (seasonal); Exploring kopjes (rocky outcrops) where predators rest. Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro / Karatu

After breakfast, depart Serengeti with a game drive en route. Distance: ~145–170 km. Driving Time: 3–4 hours. Enjoy final wildlife sightings before exiting the park and heading toward Ngorongoro. Descend from the highlands and continue to Karatu. Distance (Crater Rim to Karatu): ~20 km. Driving Time: ~30–40 minutes. Overnight: Eileen’s Trees Inn / Octagon Lodge (Full Board)

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater – Full Day Safari

After early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend 600 meters to the crater floor. Distance (Karatu to Gate): ~20 km. Driving Time: ~30 minutes. Game Drive Distance: ~50 km. Highlights: Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, leopard); Dense wildlife population; Hippo pools and flamingo-filled lake. Day 8: Lake Manyara National Park – Return to Arusha / Airport

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Distance (Karatu to Manyara): ~30 km. Driving Time: ~45 minutes. Morning game drive through diverse habitats: Groundwater forest; Open plains; Lake shoreline. Wildlife highlights: Tree-climbing lions; Elephants and giraffes; Hippos and flamingos. After lunch, return to Arusha or proceed directly to Kilimanjaro Airport. Distance (Manyara to Arusha): ~120 km. Driving Time: 2–2.5 hours. Distance (Manyara to JRO): ~170 km.
